The Note Game Lite is an arcade-style game that will train you to sight read the notes of the treble clef. Written for kids but fun for all ages.
I wrote this for my piano-playing children who also helped me develop the game-play. They really enjoy playing it and no longer need mnemonics like "Every Good Boy Deserves Football" to work out what the notes are.
THE GAME: The notes scroll onto the screen and move from right to left. You have to name the notes by pressing the appropriate button. There are lots of hints for beginners and the notes will slow down to match your response times. If you are quick and get the notes early, then the fuller range of notes will be released earlier and game will speed up.
Name the notes while they are still in the Bonus Bar for maximum points.
The game includes lots of fun sounds and animations to keep players engaged and hungry for more.
Look out for the full featured version which will include Bass Clef, Sharps, Flats and a Piano Keyboard.
Tips for parents:
Young children may need help to learn how to press the keys properly. You have to lift your finger off the key to make it "fire".
Some kids learn more with plenty of breaks between sessions. Try playing less and often.
Explain that they get more points the earlier they name the note.
